Mustang Sound Summit 2026

Mustang Sound Summit

Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026
Location: SJ Stage
Participants: Honor Band • Jazz Band • Beginning Band

The Mustang Sound Summit is a performance and clinic experience designed to elevate the musical excellence of our band students through focused feedback from expert educators. This spring event brings all three of our band ensembles—Honor Band, Jazz Band, and Beginning Band—together for a unique opportunity to perform, grow, and refine their sound.

Each band will perform live on the SJ stage for a clinician—a highly respected and experienced band director from the West Texas area—who will provide immediate, constructive feedback in a post-performance clinic. This event fulfills its name and purpose by serving as a true “summit” of sound exploration, growth, and musicianship.

What to Expect

  • Each band will be assigned a one-hour block for their performance and clinic.
  • The event will take place on stage to provide a realistic and professional performance environment.
  • Different clinicians will work with each band to ensure tailored feedback and a variety of teaching styles.
  • The focus will be on ensemble sound, technique, musical interpretation, and performance readiness.
